Jury Duty Notices Being Mailed

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has mailed Jury Duty notices to 590 citizens.
140 residents will receive notice for Jury Duty. Sheriff Steve Cox says it is important to read and follow the directions as given by the Court. He says due to COVID-19 precautions there will only be a certain number of prospective jurors allowed into the courtroom at a specific time for questioning by the attorneys and then the process will repeat until a jury is selected.
450 other people will receive notice of a potential jury service period from October 12, 2020, through February 07, 2021.
Cox says the form has important questions that need answered and returned to the Circuit Clerk’s office and is time-sensitive.
