MoDOT To Begin Flood Repairs On US 24 Near Carrollton

Repairs to the roadway on US 24 in Carroll County will begin this week.  The Missouri Department of Transportation says the flooding of 2019 damaged roadways and roadsides throughout Northwest Missouri. Repairs will begin soon to areas alongside a portion of US 24 south of Carrollton that were damaged by floodwaters. Lehman Construction, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin off-road work this Thursday. Crews will be working daylight hours Monday through Thursday on ditching, drainage, erosion control, and grading along a 4-mile section between Moss Creek Bridge and the Missouri River Bridge through the end of October. The shoulders in this section will be closed for the duration of the project.

In addition, from September 28th through October 6th, one lane of US 24, in this same 4-mile section, will be closed for shoulder widening and pavement marking. Temporary signals will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone.

Work should be completed by November 1st.
