CMS COVID-19 UPDATE: 100% Virtual Learning

Chillicothe Middle School has gone 100% virtual learning.  After the announcement Friday that Chillicothe Middle School would move to a hybrid learning situation, on Sunday afternoon, the Superintendent, Dan Wiebers announced the Middle School will be doing ALL VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION beginning today.

Wiebers says “Unfortunately, the district was notified on Sunday, September 20, that additional students and staff have been reported as positive and will require an even larger number of students and staff to be quarantined.”  He says the Staff and health officials will continue to monitor the COVID-19 numbers and they hope to return the staff and students to the classroom on October 5th.

Wiebers also reported an employee of Chillicothe Elementary School has received news that they have tested positive with COVID-19.  After a thorough contact-tracing, it was determined that four additional staff members will be quarantined.  During this process, it was also determined that no students are required to be quarantined.  Substitute teachers will be scheduled at Chillicothe Elementary School to cover all the necessary classes.
