Missouri Highway Patrol Accident & Arrest Reports

The Missouri Highway Patrol report one accident and two arrests in the area counties for the weekend.

A single-vehicle accident in Grundy County left two with minor injuries Sunday afternoon.  State Troopers report 22-year-old Jonah Newman of Trenton was eastbound on SW 20th and Route W, 5 miles south of Trenton, when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the south side of the road and hit the ditch.  Newman and his 13-year-old passenger were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.

State Troopers report two DWI arrests in the area counties over the weekend.

Saturday at about 8:55 pm, 27-year-old Norisha Byers of Columbia was arrested in Caldwell County for alleged DWI with drugs, careless and imprudent driving involving a crash, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and no insurance.  She was taken to the Callaway County Jail on a 12-hour hold.

Early Sunday morning in Daviess County, Troopers arrested 29-year-old Jacob Miller of Gallatin for alleged DWI and speeding.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
