City Sells Property To Truck Stop Developer

The City of Chillicothe sold a piece of property with action taken during an executive session on September 14th.

City administrator Darin Chappell says the property, located at the southeast corner of US 36 and US 65, the location of the old Chillicothe treatment plant, was sold to Love’s Travel Plaza, Stops & Country Stores.  The price was about $13,685 an acre, and the total space needed is not finalized but is up to 16 acres.

The vote on the sale was 4-0 with Councilman Smith absent.

  • Looking forward to Loves truck stop in Chillicothe, I’m a truck driver and our company uses much all of what Loves services and fueling offers, additional truck parking in the area is nice to have. We have customers in Chillicothe also.
