Friday, October 16th,

At 6:22 a.m., Officers responded to a one-vehicle non-injury traffic crash in the 1500 block of N. Washington St.  Officers reported a southbound vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck curbing, causing major damage to the vehicle.  The vehicle was towed from the scene due to the extensive damage to the vehicle.

At 1:51 p.m., Officers took a report of a sexual offense.  After a brief investigation, it was determined the offense had taken place in another jurisdiction.  The reporting person was referred to that jurisdiction.

At 1:45 p.m., Officers arrested a 45-year-old man in the 600 block of Walnut Street on several warrants for probation violation from Livingston and Daviess County.  His bond totaled $15,000.00 and could not post the bond.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

At 2:00 p.m., Officers arrested a 36-year-old woman from Hamilton on a Caldwell County warrant for speeding.  She posted bond and was released.

At 3:12 p.m., Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of John F. Kennedy Ave.  Officers discovered an assault took place.  A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

At 4:54 p.m., Officers responded to the 300 block of Williams St. to a report of an unresponsive person.  The person died from probable natural causes.

At 7:20 p.m., Officers responded to a possible burglary in the 1400 block of Polk St.  No report was filed at that time.

At 11:10 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash in the 1200 block of N. Washington St.  A 17-year-old was arrested for minor visibly intoxicated and zero tolerance operating a motor vehicle involving a traffic crash.

Saturday, October 17th

At 9:11 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a possibly neglected dog in the 1000 block of First St.  The dog was seized by Livingston County Animal Control.

At 10:29 p.m., Officers were dispatched to an intoxicated male creating a disturbance in the 2800 block of Grand Dr.  The male was gone upon Officers arrival.

Sunday, October 18th

At 3:20 a.m., Officers arrested a 34-year-old man in the 400 block of Reynard St on a Probation and Parole violation warrant.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

At 1:39 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible kidnapping in the 800 block of Elm St.  Through the course of the investigation, Officers did not discover any corroborating evidence to substantiate the claim.
