Serious and Minor Injury Accidents

A two-vehicle accident in Sullivan County Tuesday evening left one driver with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries.  State Troopers report 22-year-old Brady Huffman of Galt was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville with serious injuries following the accident on Highway 139 near Harris.  The report states 20-year-old Zoe Littleton of Maryville was westbound and pulled into the path of the Huffman vehicle resulting in the collision.  Littleton had minor injuries and was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment. Both drivers were wearing safety belts.


 

A two-vehicle accident in Caldwell County left three juvenile passengers with minor injuries.  State Troopers report the accident happened about 1:40 pm in Main Street in Braymer.  According to the report, 36-year-old Marsha Dunwoodie of Braymer was northbound and turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by 23-year-old Tristan Wessel of Higginsville.

The Dunwoodie vehicle had three children on board, ages 1, 4 and 15.  The 15-year-old had minor injuries and was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.  The Wessel vehicle had 2 children on board, ages 8 and 10.  Both had minor injuries and were treated at Hedrick Medical Center.  All of the children were properly restrained.   Wessel and her adult passenger were not wearing safety belts.
