Paving Equipment Purchase Postponed

The Chillicothe City Council took no action on the purchase of a used paver for the Street Department at Monday’s meeting.  The council planned to consider the purchase of a used piece of equipment for about $52,300.  The paver is 19-years-old but in good condition.

City Administrator Darin Chappell asked the council to consider another option before making a decision.

Chappell says the three-year warranty and the included training are factors to be considered.

He says they will review the bids presented at the next meeting and make the decision on purchasing new or used equipment at that time.
