The High School Basketball season begins next week. For Chillicothe, this year they have enough players to again field three full teams, Varsity, Junior Varsity and C-Team, which replaces the tradition Freshman team of past years.
Players can play up to six quarters of basketball in a night. Often Sophomores will play quarters on both C-Team and Junior Varsity.
Hornets Varsity Coach Tim Cool said once again he has great assistant coaches to help guide the players development.
Coach Cool begins his 10th year as Chillicothe Head Boys Basketball Coach.
The Hornets and Lady Hornets scheduled scrimmage against Brookfield tonight (Thursday) at Chillicothe High School has been cancelled by Brookfield due to COVID issues. The Hornets season opens Tuesday in a Girls Boys doubleheader at Penney of Hamilton.
A  home double header against Lathrop has been added to the schedule on Feb 1st to take the place of the NCMC Holiday Hoops cancellation.
