Replacement of the Grand River Overflow Bridge, on Missouri 139 near Sumner, will begin next week. MoDOT announced the 57-year-old bridge will be closed to traffic beginning Monday at 8:00 am, with the bridge expected to re-open around July 1st.
A marked detour will be in place. That detour includes:
Northbound – using Route H, US 65, US 36 and Highway 5.
Southbound – using US 24, Highway 11, Route CC and Route E.
The contractor for the project is Boone Construction.
