The Chillicothe Varsity Basketball teams picked up two lopsided wins at home over Trenton.
The Chillicothe Lady Hornets went on a 23-0 run in the first and early second quarter to pull away early in a 64-24 win. Coach Darren Smith said defense was a key to the early lead.

Chillicothe was led by Jessica Reeter with 14 points, Essie Hicks, Jolie Bonderer and Brooke Horton each with 10 points, Lucy Reeter with five, Izzy Montgomery with four points, Cali Burkhardt with three, Kinlei Boley, Selby Miller, Bre Pithan and Sophia Luetticke each with two and playing time for Elle Barnett and Clara Leamer
The Chillicothe boys team scored the first nine points and also ended with a big win over Trenton 75 to 33. Hornets Coach Tim Cool also said his team’s defense had a great night

Hayden Simmer led the Hornets with 19 points, Cayden Potter with 11, Griff Bonderer with 10, Wyatt Brandsgaard with 9, Eli Cross and Landon Winder each with 6, James Mathew with five, Mason Baxter with four, Kyle Young with three  Quentin Cranmer with two and playing time for Cameron Fleener and Gabe Hansen.
The Chillicothe Boys and Girls team host Macon in a doubleheader on Tuesday the 15th.
