Hornet Wrestlers Win Duals Tourny

The Chillicothe Hornets Wrestling team won the Carrollton Duals tournament. Head Coach Chad Smith said his team “wrestled well against teams like Mexico and Hallsville who are always tough teams.” He stated his older guys on the team have been helpful and good examples to the younger wrestlers.
Chillicothe beat Carrollton 54-27, Hallsville 51-25, Mexico 54-27, North Kansas City 66-18 and Penney of Hamilton 66-18.
Individually for Chillicothe Lane McCoy went 4-1 with three pins and a bye.
Joel Edwards went 3-2 with two byes and a pin. Sheldon Rader went 4-1 and now has 96 career wins.
Rylin Clark went 1-3 with one bye, Aidan Zimmerman went 3-2 with two byes and a pin.
Cesar Mares went 4-1 with three byes and a pin. Bryce Dominique went 5-0 with a bye and four pins.
Cayden Larson was 4-1 with three pins, Brody Carins was 4-1 with three pins. Dawson Sutton was 3-2 with three byes, Brock Miller went 4-1 with two pins and two byes. Lucas Reynolds was 5-0 with one pin and four byes.
Rylan Phillips was 2-2, James Griffin went 0-2 and Christian Peniston went 4-0 with two pins and two byes.
