Two Accident Result In Serious and Minor Injuries

State Troopers Investigated two accidents in the area counties over the weekend.

A Polo resident had serious injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Clinton County Saturday evening.  State Troopers report 57-year-old James Dorssom of Polo was taken to Liberty Hospital following the accident on Interstate 35.  According to the report, Dorssom was southbound and lost control, drove into the median and his vehicle overturned, coming to rest on the driver’s side in the northbound passing lane.  He was wearing a safety belt.

A Cameron resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday near Hamilton.  State Troopers investigated the accident on US 36, at about 1:00 am Sunday.  According to the report, 54-year-old Lloyd Walker of Cameron was eastbound on US 36, ran off the south side of the road, and struck an embankment and a tree.  Walker was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for Treatment of minor injuries.  He was wearing a safety belt.
