City Council To Consider Purchase Of Property and Equipment

The Chillicothe City Council will consider the purchase of a piece of property, a paver for the Street Department, and a request to donate a fire truck to the museum as part of Monday’s City Council meeting.  The council meets at 6:30 pm at the CMU office.

The agenda begins with the consideration of bids for a new paver for the Street Department.  The council will consider the engineering contract for the playground work at Simpson Park.

The Mayor will have a recommendation to fill an opening on the Chillicothe Board of Public Works.

City Administrator Darin Chappell will lead several discussions, including a request from Grand River Historical Society requesting the fire truck on loan from the city be donated to the museum, a discussion on including hearing aids in the health insurance benefits, the work release agreement with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Chappell will lead a discussion and present an ordinance for the purchase of property from Scrap-All.

He will also have a presentation for the Chillicothe street Assessment Program and a proposed Street Plan.

An executive session is planned to follow the regular meeting.
