The distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine across the state of Missouri began late in December and while some Health Care facilities, including St. Luke’s, have received the vaccine and are vaccinating their staff, the distribution to County Health Departments seems to be sporadic. Livingston County Health Center Director Sherry Weldon says they have not received the Moderna Vaccine that will be sent out by the state.
Weldon says when they receive the vaccine, they will follow the protocol for who will be vaccinated.
While Livingston County has not received the vaccine, one  Health Department in the area counties reported receiving the vaccine and vaccinating those on their priority list. Daviess County reported 10 doses were received and given to frontline workers.
