Slick Roads Caused Accidents

A Chillicothe woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Livingston County Friday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that 36-year-old Courtney Hopkins was driving on Route A, 7 miles northwest of Chillicothe at 10:20 am when she lost control of the vehicle on a snow-covered road, ran off the road, hit a tree, and overturned onto the passenger side.
Hopkins was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with what was described in the report as Minor injuries.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.

A Jamesport man was injured in a one-vehicle accident northwest of Chillicothe. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a car was driven by 59-year-old Jeffrey Hale of Jamesport on Highway A,9 miles northwest of Chillicothe when he lost control on what was called a slush-covered roadway, slid off the side of the road. It caused the undercarriage to strike the ground, causing the vehicle to overturn and strike a small group of trees.
Hale was taken to Hedrick Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and Jamesport first responders assisted the Highway Patrol at the scene.
