Treys Reign in CHS win at Marshall

The Marshall Lady Owls won the tip off of last night’s basketball game against Chillicothe and hit an immediate three point basket. It would be the only time they would have the lead.
The Chillicothe Lady Hornets scored the next 16 points and went on to a 60-36 win at Marshall.
Five Lady Hornets hit a total of nine treys in the game. Coach Darren Smith said the treys made it a fun night.

Essie Hicks had 16 points, Jessica Reeter with 14, Jolie Bonderer with 11, Lucy Reeter and Cali Burkhardt each with six, Selby Miller with five and Clara Leamer with two. Others receiving playing time were Izzie Montgomery, Ellie Burnett, Sophia Luetticke, Bre Pithan, Kinlei Boley and Brooke Horton.
Chillicothe improves to 11-2 on the season.

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity girls had an easy win, beating Marshall JV 38 to 10. Chillicothe’s JV had balanced scoring with Bre Pithan with seven, Kinlei Boley with six, Hope Helton and Izzie Montgomery each with five, Kaylynn Cranmer with four, Cali Burkhardt with three, Emily Schreiner, Kirsten Dunn, Madison Albaugh, and Delanie Kieffer all with two points each.
Kayanna Cranmer also had playing time.
