Chillicothe Police Report For Thursday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 126 calls for service Thursday.  They included well-being checks, motorist assists, unsecured doors, and parking complaints.  Other calls include:

11:48 am, Report of a minor two-vehicle accident in driveway of Elementary School.  Drivers exchanged information.  No report.

12:03 pm, Officers assisting Animal Control on an animal welfare check in the 1700 block of Jennings Place.  Control of the dog was relinquished to Animal Control.

1:02 pm, Vehicle slide-off in the 1500 block of Springhill Road.  Vehicle removed from the ditch by a wrecker.  Officer clearing some debris from the roadway.

1:13 pm, Officers were dispatched to the area of Doniphan Street and Arcadia Road for a minor accident involving a City plow truck.   The plow hit the front side of a camper that resulted in minor damages.

1:44 pm, Request to check well-being in the 800 block of Elm Street.  Officers checked and found the person would voluntarily go to Hedrick Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

4:43 pm, Report of dogs running loose and being aggressive in the 1400 block of McVey Street.  The owner was contacted and issued citations for the dogs not being vaccinated, running at large, no licenses, and annoying humans.

8:17 pm  Officers received a report of accidental discharge of a revolver in the 1600 block of Jennings Place.  No injuries were reported and the immediate surrounding area was checked for damage and none was found other than to a window in the residence.  The weapon was seized.
