The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Soccer team made Senior night a memorable one with a 1-0 win over Kirksville.
Chillicothe’s Lucy Reeter had the only goal in the game, scoring an unassisted goal in the 18th minute.
Lady Hornets regular starting goalie Allie Italiano had five saves to help the team earn the shut out.
Coach Jimmy Chapman said the Varsity bounded back well after Friday’s season opening loss and didn’t allow Kirksville too many opportunities. He said the Lady Hornets did create their own opportunities.
Next up is a 5:00pm match at home Wednesday against Mid-Buchanan.
The CHS Junior Varsity also won, 4-0. Delanie Kieffer, Alice Hurtgen, Isabelle Witt and Skyler Powers each scored a goal and Ericka Kroll had an assist.
JV Goalie Hadley Beemer had one save for the JV Lady Hornets soccer team.
