The Chillicothe Police Department has a new tool to help discourage speeding. The Department has purchased 4 radar speed display trailers that flash the speed of the vehicle.
Police Chief Jon Maples explains how it will be used.
He says this will help officers cover as much area as possible.
Maples says trailers obtain as much data as possible, which will allow police to determine if that location is a problem area.
The unit has software and can issue data in a variety of ways. Maples talks about how they will use the data.
For now, they plan on using the trailer to make drivers aware of possible speeding issues.
