People in need will have meat on their table, thanks to Missouri deer hunters. The Missouri Department of Conservation says thousands of Missouri deer hunters have donated near 240,000 pounds of venison to the state’s Share the Harvest program this past deer season, including over 4,700 whole deer.
They also thank participating meat processors throughout the state and the sponsors who financially support the program.
The donated deer meat goes to food banks and food pantries to help feed hungry Missourians around the state. To get Share the Harvest venison, contact your local food banks or food pantries.
