Southwest R-1 School District has scheduled their annual preschool and kindergarten screening for April 26th and 27th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
On these dates, children who are eligible for Preschool by being four years of age before August 1st, 2021, or eligible for Kindergarten by being five years of age before August 1st, 2021, will be screened to assess their growth and development.
Children will be given the DIAL-4 Development Indicators for the Assessment of Learning test. They will also have their vision and hearing checked.
All parents should bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization records in order to fill out forms. Following the screening, conferences with the parents will be held to discuss the results.
