Eighty-seven calls for service are in the report from the Chillicothe Police Department for Thursday. Some of the calls include:
7:01 am, Officers checked a report of a parking problem in the 1500 block of Calhoun Street. Sewer line repairs were being done and blocked part of the road. The owner of the vehicle parked adjacent to street work. They were contacted and moved the vehicle.
8:43 am, Officers responded to a report of an unattended young child at Springhill and McNally Street. Officers located the child and attempted to locate the parent. A woman was located and came to PD for questioning. She provided false information to Officers and was found to be the subject of three active warrants for her arrest. She was taken to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail pending local charges of Child endangerment and Forgery and on the existing warrants. The child was placed with a relative.
9:32 am, School Officer out in 1500 block of Calhoun Street on an assault investigation.
10:12 pm, Officer checking subject on a bicycle at 2nd and Elm Streets. The rider was given a warning for no lights on the bike.
