What began as a pursuit by Carrollton Police at around 4:30 Friday afternoon ended with Chillicothe’s K-9 Enoc called to assist in the arrest of 50-year-old Stephen Bittiker, Jr of Carrollton. Bittiker was wanted on warrants after he took the pursuit off-road and later on foot. The Carrollton Police requested help from the Carroll County Sheriff’s office and Missouri Highway Patrol. The search included the use of a drone, a request for the State Patrol helicopter, UTV from the Fire Department, and a call for Chillicothe’s K-9.
When Enoc arrived with Sgt Grider, they were able to get a track on Bittiker and he was discovered hiding along a washout in the creek bed.
