Hornets Baseball Beats Trenton

The Chillicothe Hornets baseball team used 17 players and beat Trenton 14-3 in five innings in a game moved to Chillicothe due to weather.
The Hornets scored four in top of the first and five in top of the third. Trenton answered with two in the bottom of the third, but the Hornets plated five more in the fourth to lead 14-2. Trenton scored one in the fifth and the game was called at the end of the inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Chillicothe’s Brock Ward had a triple and a double, Griff Bonderer and Grant Leamer had two singles each. Braden Constant, Ruger Cox, Gabe Hansen, Trent Keith and Brock Miller each had a double.
Wyatt Brandsgaard, Alijah Hibner and Gage Leamer each had a single.
Trenton had singles two players with one single each.
Chillicothe used four pitchers in game, with Brody Cairns getting the win. The four combined to allow three runs off two hits with six strike outs and four walks.
