The Chillicothe Hornets baseball team dropped a home game to KC St Pius X 14-1. Pius scored three in the top of the first. The Hornets managed one in the bottom of the first.
Pius had one in the third and three in the fourth inning. Leading seven to one after six, St Pius doubled their score with a seven run seventh inning.
After the first two Pius batters flied out and grounded out, the Warriors next nine batters accounted for a hit by a pitch, two errors, three walks and four singles.
Brock Ward had a double while Mason Baxter, Gage Leamer and Gabe Hansen each had singles for the Hornets four hits.
Three Chillicothe pitchers were used in the game and accounted for 14 runs, seven earned, off fifteen hits with three strike outs and seven walks. The Hornets had five errors.
