Chillicothe Police Report For The Memorial Day Holiday

The Chillicothe Police Department handled more than 300 calls for service through the Memorial Day Weekend, Friday – Monday.  Some of the calls include:

Friday,

12:23 PM, Officers with the assistance of the Chillicothe Fire Department responded to the 1200 block of Broadway for an oven fire. Upon arrival the fire had been extinguished and the residence was ok.

3:01 PM Officers met with a subject in the 600 block of Walnut Street, about several fraudulent charges on a credit card. The investigation is continuing.

8:37 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop near Washington and Ryan Lane. The driver was arrested for DWI and was later cited and released.

Saturday,

12:34 PM, Officers responded to the 700 block of Elm Street for a report of theft. The suspect was later identified and presented at the police department. The subject was placed under arrest, cited, and released with a court date.

7:13 PM, Officers responded to the 400 block of Grandview for a report of an illegal burn that damaged a neighbor’s fence.

Monday,

1:36 AM, Officers responded to the 900 block of Fredrick for a domestic dispute where the man had fled the scene.  The investigation continues.

10:30 AM, Officers responded to the 100 block of Third Street for an ongoing neighbor dispute. This time the neighbor damaged the garden property. Investigation continuing and possible charges will be sought.
