06-09-21 Pesticide Collection Events
A Missouri Department of Natural Resources free pesticide collection event takes place this month in Chariton County. The collection events are open to all Missouri farmers and households. The MDC will be at Ricketts Farm Service in Salisbury on June 26th, from 8:00 am to Noon.
Items that will be accepted include:
Pesticides, Herbicides, Insecticides, Fungicides, Rodenticides, Dewormers, Fly tags, and Fertilizers containing pesticides.
The DNR says they WILL NOT accept Pesticides from businesses, pesticide production facilities, pesticide distributors or pesticide retailers
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all participants are asked to stay in their vehicles while waste items are being off-loaded from the vehicle.
