As the fire crew was returning from the Grass Fire, they noticed a car fire at 1025 Washington Street.  They radioed dispatch for an engine to respond.  The fire was burning through the firewall and into the car, extending to the interior of the roof.  Doors would not unlock, so windows were broken to access the fire.

The driver and passenger were headed to the hospital at the time of the fire and a bystander took them to the hospital.

The fire crew was on the scene for about 10 minutes.
