New District Office Very Close

As the Chillicothe R-II School District’s fiscal year is coming to a close, the District Office staff had been anticipating a move to the new office building.  Superintendent Dan Wiebers says “COVID Delays” and a desire to not work around last-minute items has them on hold just a bit longer.

Wiebers says the west side of the building will house the administrative offices and the east side is the Hornet Academy.  The center portion is the board room.

Mr Weibers says the total cost to the school district for the construction of the building is the $1,000 deductible from the insurance on the flooded building.

He says they have added a few amenities that were not in the original plans, but those have been paid through donations from various groups and foundations.
