The North Central Missouri Amateur Radio Club will host their annual “Field Day” event this Saturday at Moberly Park in Trenton.
Field Day is an opportunity for amateur radio operators to practice operating in emergency situations, including the use of alternative power sources, deployment of antennas and passing of messages.
Field Day is open to the public. The event begins at 1:00 pm and local club members will be testing their skills to contact as many other stations as possible.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about amateur radio and how it is used to help in emergency situations is welcome to attend the event.
