Chillicothe Police Report For The Weekend

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to more than 200 calls for service through the weekend.  Some of the calls include:

Friday, June 25th

1:27 a.m., Officers were dispatched to possible trespassing in the 400 block of Webster St.  Officers located and contacted the person who was advised to not return.

10:03 a.m., Officers assisted the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services with an investigation in the 1000 block of S. Washington St.

1:18 p.m., Officers investigated a report of possible child abuse/neglect in the 1300 block of Miller St.  Officers were assisted by Livingston County Children’s Division.

2:21 p.m., Officers were dispatched to trespassing in the 1500 block of Walnut St.  Officers located the person, who was issued a citation and released with a court date.

3:48 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a female possibly shaving her legs in front of a residence with a towel on her head in the 1000 block of Cherry St.  Officers were unable to locate anyone.

11:12 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible burglary in the 100 block of Crescent Dr.  No report was filed at that time.

11:12 p.m., Officers were dispatched to possible trespassing in the 1200 block of N. Washington St.  Officers contacted the persons and they left without incident.

11:19 p.m., a citizen called about their dog possibly being stolen in the 400 block of Webster St.  Approximately one minute later they called and stated the dog had returned.

Saturday, June 26th

11:03 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury traffic crash at Third St. and Walnut St.  A report was taken.

1:02 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 1000 block of Graves St.  The investigation is on-going.

4:26 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal person possible armed with a firearm.  Officers searched for and located the person.  A negotiator with the Police Department negotiated with the person who agreed to get help and went with Officers peacefully.  A firearm was received and seized.  The person was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

6:05 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury traffic crash in the 400 block of S. Washington St.  Officers were advised the driver’s appeared they were about to get into a fight.  Officers advised the parties did not want a report and left without further incident.

Sunday, June 27th

5:33 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a low hanging line at Cowgill St. and Green St.  CMU was contacted.

12:08 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop at Washington Street and Green Street.  As a result of the stop, Officers arrested a 42-year-old male on a Chariton County Warrant, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to register a motor vehicle, displaying license plate of another, no insurance as well as a 32-year-old female for possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both subjects were transported to the police department, processed, and released pending a future Associate Court date.

3:14 p.m., Officers were dispatched to juveniles on bicycles who “flipped off” someone in the 100 block of Jackson St.  Officers located the juveniles and they were warned of their actions and the dangers of riding their bikes in the middle of the street.

10:16 p.m., Officers were dispatched to juveniles doing cartwheels in the street at Third St. and N. Washington St.
