Flood Warnings Issued For Portions Of The Grand River

Flooding on the Grand River at Sumner and Brunswick ended Wednesday evening, but the National Weather Service has issued Flood Warnings for the Grand River at Chillicothe, Sumner, and Brunswick beginning on Friday.

At Chillicothe, the river is expected to rise above the 24-foot flood stage mark on Friday morning with a crest of 30.3 feet Friday afternoon and falling back below flood stage early Saturday.

At Sumner, the river will rise above flood stage of 26 feet late Friday night and crest at 35.3 feet Saturday morning.  Flooding will continue into early Monday morning.

At Brunswick, the river is expected to rise above flood stage of 19 feet early Saturday morning and crest at about 22.1 feet on Sunday.  Flooding could continue into Tuesday morning.
