Highway Patrol Accidents and Arrests

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports one accident and several arrests in the area counties Thursday.

At about 10:45 am, an Excelsior Springs man was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 6 near Jamesport.  Fifty-one-year-old Leslie Keasling was eastbound on a motorcycle and failed to make it through a curve and ran off the road.  He was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.  He was wearing a helmet.

Arrests in the report include:

At about 8:35 am in Sullivan County, Troopers arrested 31-year-old Matthew C Whitlock of Unionville for alleged no driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to drive on the right side of the road resulting in a crash.  He was held at the Sullivan County Jail.

In Daviess County at about 6:40 pm, Troopers arrested 39-year-old Harry Hicks of Texas for alleged resisting arrest, careless and imprudent driving, failure to yield, possession of drug paraphernalia, DWI, driving a commercial vehicle without the proper license, and driving a commercial vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

In Caldwell County at about 7:45 pm, Troopers arrested 40-year-old Joseph W Dauber of Kansas City for alleged DWI, resisting arrest by fleeing, failure to signal, passing on the shoulder, speeding, no seatbelt, and careless and imprudent driving resulting in a crash.  He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

In Daviess County at about 11:00 pm, Troopers arrested 45-year-old Tammy L Gray of Kidder on a Trenton warrant for alleged failure to appear.  She was held at the Grundy County Jail.  Troopers also arrested 47-year-old James L Gause of Kidder on a Clay County warrant for alleged non-support.  He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
