Chillicothe Police Activities from 8/2/21

Chillicothe Police responded to 110 calls for service on Monday.
12:42 am, Officers checking for causes of odor in the area of Brunswick and Violet Streets. Officers located a burn barrel that was smoldering and smoking. Fire is out.
1:31 am, Report of someone attempting to gain entry into a residence in the 500 block of St. Louis Ave. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone.
1:47 am, Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Webster Street. Officers checked the area and nothing was located.
9:14a m, Subject in Police Department with questions on eviction from residence. An officer is handling.
10:34 am, Officers were dispatched to a business for a vehicle that had struck the building. Upon arriving on the scene the officers made contact with the suspect who was identified and was determined to have multiple warrants for their arrest. The individual was arrested and transported to the police department for processing and was released to Harrison County on their warrants.
11:33 am Subject calling with information on illegal drug activity.
11:37 am, Subject calling in reference to illegal dumping..
4:18 pm, Subject in PD to file a theft report. Subject left to obtain more information and return. The subject did not return.
4:59 pm, Subject calling with information on possible counterfeiting. Information was taken.
6:34 pm, Report of a careless and imprudent driver on US 65 from Tina Junction. toward Chillicothe. Troopers stopped the vehicle on North Washington Street.
7:25 pm, Subject at a business in the 2600 block of North. Washington Street, refusing to leave. Officers reported to the scene and the subject left the property.
9:32 pm, Shoplifting from business in the 1200 block of North Washington Street, Description given and report taken.
10:32 pm, Officer checking vehicle on the lot of closed business in the 1300 block of North. Washington Street. The vehicle was advised to leave the property.
11:27 pm, Report of someone shining a light in residence windows, Officer unable to locate anything.
11:30 pm, Officer out in the1200 block of North Washington Street on a follow-up investigation.
