Missouri’s Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft visited Chillicothe as part of a tour of libraries in the area. Ashcroft took the time to meet the staff and learn about the jobs they do and took a tour of both the main Library and the Lillian DesMarias Youth Library. He talked about the importance of libraries in the communities.
Ashcroft says the Secretary of State’s Office assists the local libraries with resources.
In addition to the two stops in Chillicothe, Ashcroft visited libraries in Brookfield and Carrollton.
