Despite graduating the top golfer from last year, the Lady Hornets Golf Team is hoping for good things this season.
The team returns a mix of returning experience, and newcomers to the team. Coach Darren Smith says he is really excited about this year’s team.
Gone due to graduation is Halle Jones, one of just five girls golfers in school history to qualify for the state championship all four years. Smith says despite the loss of Jones, he does have a couple of girls returning from last year.
Coach Smith credits Russ Madson with Green Hills Golf Course in getting younger students interested in Golf.
