New Security Locks at the Chillicothe Police Department

The Chillicothe Police Department will have new electronic security locks installed at a cost of nearly $16,000.  Police Chief Jon Maples says the locks are not working as they should and at times have allowed unauthorized entry into secured parts of the building.

The bid received was from C & C Group, to install 9 new access control doors.  These would be on the same system as the Chillicothe Fire Department.

City Administrator Darin Chappell says they expect the new doors adn locks to be installed in a few weeks.
