The History Of Labor Day

Today is Labor Day, for many, it means the end of Summer and the start of school and related activities.
Livingston County Library Director Sue Lightfoot-Horine Labor Day is meant to be a day to celebrate the American workers.

Lightfoot-Horine says the labor unions fought for and won many of the labor laws in place today.

Labor Day was signed into law as a Federal Holiday in 1894 by President Grover Cleveland.
