The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Varsity Softball team is ranked in the season’s first State Top Ten poll. The Lady Hornets are tied for 8th in the class 3 poll with Holden, which beat Chillicothe in the season opening tournament at William Chrisman.
Grain Valley, which beat Chillicothe in the first game of the year, is ranked 10th in Class 5.
In Class 2, Carrollton is ranked 3rd and Marceline is 4th.
