Cross Country Does Well at Platte County

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Varsity Cross Country team finished in 4th place and the Hornets Varsity finished in 8th place at the Platte County Invitational.
Coach Jennifer Dickson called it a really great night for her teams. She states almost the entire team hit a personal record of some sort tonight, and was glad her teams ran against some larger, Class 4 and 5 teams.
For the Varsity Girls team: Kadence Shipers was 10th overall, Julienne Gabrielson was 24th, Yoo Jung Lee was 28th, Alice Hurtgen was 32nd and Aliyah Briner, coming off of illness, was 35th.
For the Hornet Boys team, Cain Evans was 29th, Clayton Savage was 49th, Austin Lyford 50th, Carter Shipers 52nd, Stephen Parkes was 61st, Alton Keller was 65th and Logan Gregory was 81st.
In the Junior Varsity Girls race, Karissa Fostek was 14th and in the Junior Varsity Boys race Ashton Baker was 35th.
The Chillicothe Middle School had some impressive results in their division. Luke Thompson was 2nd out of 127 runners, Lake Englert 7th and Litton Gabrielson 8th. On the girls side out of 102 runners, Lydia Gabrielson was 7th and Sophie Hurtgen 14th. Only medalists results were provided for the Middle School race.
