Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 112 calls for service Tuesday.  Some of the calls included:

7:09 AM Officers assisted a stranded motorist in the Polk and Washington area.

9:23 AM Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department and Deputies of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office served a Search Warrant in the 400 block of Clay Street for illegal possession of firearms.   This investigation has led to other investigations, including felon in possession of a firearm, prostitution, and the possession of narcotics.  As a result, a 39-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

4:50 PM, Officers took a report of stolen license plates from a location in Chillicothe.  The victim’s car was being worked on and they picked the vehicle, later noticing that the license plates were stolen.

5:05 PM, Officers took a walk-in report of a package being stolen off a porch in the 600 block of Madison. The investigation continues.

6:24 PM Officers took a report of a juvenile assaulting another juvenile with pepper spray in the 500 block of St. Louis. An investigation was conduct and the incident will be forwarded to the office of the juvenile officer.

9:00 PM Officers were called to a disturbance in the 200 block of Washington Street involving a man harassing business employees. Officers located the suspect in the 500 block of Paul Street.  He was arrested for driving while revoked and issued other traffic citations with burglary charges pending an investigation.

9:46 PM Officers made a traffic stop near the Ann and Clay Streets that resulted in the arrest of a man for driving while suspended.

10:27 PM Officers took a report of a dog bite in the 300 block of Henry Street.  That investigation continues.
