CHS Softball Continues To Impress

St Joseph Benton became the latest team to fall to the Chillicothe Lady Hornets Softball Team. Chillicothe scored 14 runs off 10 hits to win 14-0. In the last three games, Chillicothe has out scored their opponents 41 to 1.
Chillicothe’s Kinlei Boley had another gem in the circle, allowing just one hit, a lead off single in the fourth inning. The other four innings were three-up, three-down, striking out Benton batters in 10 of their 16 plate appearances.
On offense, Boley, Hope Helton and Bre Pithan all had home runs, with Bonderer getting a double. Hadley Beemer had two singles and Mika Hibner, Kirsten Dunn, Halle Rucker and Jolie Bonderer all had a single.
Helton and Pithan led in RBIs with three each.
Chillicothe is now 17 and 3 and have won their last nine games. The Lady Hornets host their own tournament on Saturday.
The Chillicothe JV won 9 to 5 over Benton with Hadley Beemer pitching three innings and Emily Schreiner pitching two.
