A Boil Water Advisory is issued for the City of Wheeling. The Boil advisory is in effect until further notice and is the result of work on the water main.
- Water used for cooking or drinking should be boiled for at least three minutes.
- Dishes and food contact surfaces may be disinfected using tap water that contains one teaspoon of household bleach per gallon.
- The tap water is safe for other purposes such as bathing.
- Water boiled for drinking and cooking purposes may be used for brushing teeth.
