Chillicothe Police Had A Busy Monday

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 150 calls for service Monday.  Some of the calls include assisting other agencies, domestic disturbances, and requests for information.

8:21 a.m., Officers took a report of interference with custody at the Police Department.  A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.

9:19 a.m., a 23-year-old male turned himself into the Police Department on a City of Chillicothe Municipal Warrant for failing to appear on a seatbelt charge.  The male posted the required bond and was released.

10:17 a.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about a reported missing/runaway juvenile.  At about 10:40 a.m., Officers and Livingston County Deputies located the missing/runaway juvenile in the 3100 block of Cedar Crest Ln.  The juvenile was found okay and transported to the Police Department.  Officers were assisted by the Livingston County Juvenile Office.

10:42 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible suicidal person in the 400 block of Webster St.  Officers assisted the person and they were transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.

12:14 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a suicidal person in the 2700 block of N. Washington St.  The person was transported to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.  Officers were assisted by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

12:29 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about a reported offense.  Officers spoke with the citizen.

5:22 p.m., Officers took a report of possible stealing in the 400 block of Locust St.  The investigation is on-going.

6:33 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department and advised they received a scam telephone call requesting for them to pay for internet by using an Amazon gift card.  The called did not fall prey to this scam and was passing on the information.

8:17 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department to report possible fraud.  Officers spoke with the citizen and discovered the incident was occurring in another jurisdiction.  Officers referred the citizen to the agency.

10:10 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 1400 block of Clay St.  The investigation is on-going.
