Fall Color Programs At Crowder State Park

Crowder State Park is offering two Fall Color Tours.

Fall Hike on Tall Oaks Trail

A fall hike on Tall Oaks Trail will be Saturday at Crowder State Park.  Park staff members invite the public to the Tall Oaks Trail fall hike from 10:00 am to noon.   Participants should meet at the campground amphitheater at 10:00 am to begin the guided 4.2-mile hike on Tall Oaks Trail. The staff will discuss plants, trees and animals along the trail.

Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring water and wear sturdy shoes and insect repellent.

Fall Color Bus Tours

Fall Color Bus Tours will be held for the public at Crowder State Park.  The tours will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16 or Sunday, Oct. 17.

Participants should meet park staff at the equestrian parking lot for a guided bus tour of the Thompson Cemetery area.  Fall foliage and other interesting features will be pointed out along the way. Bus tours will leave the parking lot approximately every half hour starting at 1 p.m. The last bus will leave at 3:30 pm.

Participants are encouraged to wear their choice of insect repellent outdoors. Social-distancing measures will be practiced during the event, and the public is encouraged to be proactive in protecting themselves and others. Pre-registration is encouraged and may be completed online at icampmo1.usedirect.com/MSPWeb/Activities/Search.aspx and search for activities at Crowder State Park.
