The fall season brings additional challenges and distractions for those on the road. On top of the radio, your phone, and others in the vehicle, Corporal Dale Reuter says nature is adding to the mix in a few ways.
First, it is harvest season and Reuter says that means farmers on and near the roads.
When passing those trucks or combines and tractors, make sure you have enough time to pass, make sure you are passing legally – no yellow lines – and make sure the driver of that equipment sees you. When you make the pass, do it quickly but legally.
Animals are also another concern at this time of year.
And we can not forget the fall colors.
Reuter says slow down, pay attention and expect the unexpected.
