Hornets Spoil Savannah’s Homecoming

The Chillicothe Hornets scored early and hung on to spoil Savannah’s Homecoming with a 19 to 13 win over the Savages.
Chillicothe scored on a Silas Midgyett 12 yard run and a Cayden Potter one yard run in the first quarter to build a 13-0 lead.
Corbin Rodenberg scored in the third for a 19-0 lead. Savannah came back with touchdowns in the third and four quarters.
Savannah was driving late in the game when Chillicothe sacked the quarterback on a 4th and two on the 33 yard line to end the drive. The Hornets then ran out the clock for the 19-13 victory. Chillicothe improves to 4-3 on the season and travels to winless Kansas City East next Friday.
