September Unemployment Rates For The Area Counties

The Unemployment rate for Livingston County is down slightly after the slight increase for August.  In September,  in August, Livingston County’s Unemployment rate is 2%, down from 2.4% in August.  In September 2020, the rate was 2.7%.

Livingston County is not the lowest of the local counties this month, that honor goes to Chariton County, which dropped from 2.5% to 1.8%

Looking at the area counties, from lowest to highest…

Chariton…………. 1.8%

Livingston………. 2.0%

Grundy………….. 2.2%

Daviess…………. 2.6%

Linn………………. 2.9%

Sullivan………….. 2.9%

Carroll…………… 3.0%

Caldwell…………. 4.3%

The State of Missouri’s Unemployment rate dropped to 2.9%, and the national rate fell to 4.6%.
