Municipal Elections for City and School Board races will be April 5th, 2022, the first Tuesday in April, but the filing for the elections will begin and end sooner this year.
The State of Missouri set the filing for the April Election to start December 7th and close on December 28th
The City of Chillicothe has NO election scheduled for April
The Chillicothe R-II School District has two school board positions that will be on the ballot. They are both for three-year terms.
Filing for School Board will take place at the district office, during regular hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Except for the first and last day of filing, filing will not occur on days that the school district’s central offices are closed due to inclement weather. The district office will also be closed on December 24th and 25th. Filing will end on December 28th, at 5:00 pm.
Filing locations for other races will be announced as the start of filing approaches.
